Pimsleur Infographics
Pimsleur is an online language-learning platform known for its auditory-first method of retention. They wanted to develop a library of infographics to complement their audio lessons aimed primarily at Gen Z to boost lesson engagement and provide quick, visual reinforcement. Most of the infographics were grammar-focused, so the style needed to stay engaging while still being clear and easy to understand. A smaller set explored cultural or universal themes, which allowed for more unique and creative design approaches.

My Process
-
Since the primary audience was Gen Z, I based the grammar infographic design on familiar mobile UI motifs: rounded corners, clear information hierarchy, and a dark-mode palette. This made the visuals feel intuitive, modern, and more engaging.
-
I built the color palette from Pimsleur’s core blue and expanded it with three distinct gradients that marked the different grammar categories across the series. The goal was to create a clear, intuitive color-coding system that reinforces learning subconsciously. I also incorporated emojis to add energy and personality to the visuals.
For the cultural and universal infographics, I developed a unique design system for each piece, drawing directly from the cultural context of the subject matter.
